Rory obtained his degree in civil engineering from the University of Newcastle in 1998 graduating with honours.

He spent six years working abroad in the USA and UK., R.J Witt and Price & Myers, working on a diverse range of projects including refurbishments of existing structures to new developments. Rory joined Northrop in 2006.

Rory’s focus is to help clients unlock value in every project. This includes working in a collaborative environment with the whole design team and stakeholders on large and complicated projects. He works closely with builders and architects to achieve cost effective outcomes whilst maintaining the architectural intent.

Rory's extensive experience covers the design of reinforced and post-tensioned concrete buildings; steelwork and timber design across all sectors, from preliminary concept stages through to lock-up building stage.
