ANSTO Centre for Accelerator & Chemistry Science
The ANSTO CAS facility was developed to provide world leading nuclear science research labs and an accelerator research facility. The project includes PC2 lab, AQIS labs, ISO Class 7 cleanrooms, and Mass Spectrometer Labs.
The challenges for this project was managing the end users expectations relative to the budget, and the co-ordination of highly complex and intensive building services within the building.
Northrop worked closely with ANSTO’s project team, to negotiate building services requirements and expectations with the end users, ensuring the project remained within budget, whilst providing the high standards a project to this kind demanded. Additional layouts to document services in zones were provided to prevent any coordination issues.
