Northrop

Esplanade in Norwest is a landmark lakeside residential development consisting of 252 apartments built across 2 towers of 16-19 levels each. Each building also features 3 levels of commercial and retail space, sky gardens, a gym and a pool.

Northrop were initially engaged by Westbourne Constructions to help bring the design to D&C level. Once the design was completed and the tenderers awarded, we maintained a close relationship with the builder and were engaged to carry out peer review services for the construction. Transfer of the two towers and the resulting connection between the retail, commercial and residential spaces proved to be the biggest design challenge. Our proactive approach of early coordination and extensive workshopping with the project team meant that we were able to resolve this challenge relatively quickly and keep the project moving.
