Expedia’s Australian headquarters, located in iconic Martin Place, required a fit-out of three entire floors in its 1990’s office tower.
The project required two new interconnecting stairs, yet there were limited opportunities for new stair voids due to the building’s unusual structural floor plates and large ventilation ducts.
Northrop worked very closely with the interior designers and the builder to determine stair locations that would service the needs of the workplace while minimising the impact on existing services.
Our close liaison with the architect enabled us to design a new steel stair structure without impeding on the structural performance of the building.
