Opal Cardinal Freeman
Opal Cardinal Freeman is a residential aged care facility in Ashworth NSW. Northrop were engaged by TSA Management on behalf of the client Opal Aged Care to provide civil, electrical, lift, mechanical and hydraulic engineering services. The project involved the design and documentation of a new 133 bed aged care facility. Northrop's engineers used innovative computer modelling to speed delivery of the project - the complex power distribution network was designed using a 'POWER CAD' model, and the AGi 32 tool was used for internal and external lighting design and compliance checks.
Senior Northrop staff liaised closely with the architect and structural engineer to minimise design changes required, which resulted in a fast turn-around in documentation. By taking the time to understand the client's expectations during the design phase, Northrop’s expert staff were able to deliver the project efficiently and on time.
