Northrop was engaged in the construction of a new 140-bed aged care facility as part of an upgrade to an existing nursing home.
Our primary challenge was the interfacing of new and existing building services on site. The design brief required us to help future-proof the facility, provisioning for new services such as fire services, communications and security in both new and existing buildings.
The location of the substation was also a challenge, requiring coordination with the civil engineer and the existing site infrastructure. Our team was instrumental in liaising with the architect, civil engineer and local energy provider to resolve its location.
Northrop has developed a close working relationship with both OPAL and the contractor, which is evident in our repeat business.
