SMBC’s Sydney office, located in Chifley Towers has expanded with the tenancy upgrade spanning three floors, and all services needed to be considered.
Buildcorp engaged Northrop to provide multi-disciplinary consultancy services for this project. Two such services were the communications structured cabling and the security systems.
One of the challenges faced during this project was to determine a way to replace the existing communications infrastructure seamlessly. We were also required to work within SMBC’s stringent security requirements.
Northrop’s extensive knowledge in copper and fibre cabling allowed detailed design and coordination to occur effortlessly. We were able to give guidance on staging the works enabling the cross-over of essential services – from existing to new.
Our constant interaction with the client and builder allowed Northrop to tailor the security system specific to their needs.
