Meet Peter

Away from work, Peter loves to go camping. Each year he takes his family to Merimbula, a small town on the border of NSW and Victoria. They meet up with old friends of Peter’s since his student days at University. As a group, they build fires, enjoy a drop of red wine and catch up on the past year achievements, and their family stories. It’s a subtle nod to Peter’s ability to nurture his relationships with those who matter most to him in life.

Growing up in Melbourne, he sometimes did it tough being a little ‘vertically challenged’. But this only seeded Peters’ desire to go out and proactively make things happen – and that’s exactly what he’s done at Northrop. He’s relatively new to the company, joining the Sydney Mechanical team in May 2016. He brings a wealth of experience that spans more than 20 years. He has a diverse understanding of the mechanical consulting industry with particular expertise in the health and industrial sectors.

Peter has been a driving force for the Building Services Mechanical team, projecting a vision for growth, developing staff and always leading by example. He is also committed to client nurturing. “I’ve learnt that relationships take time, things aren’t always going to happen immediately. I love to take the time to understand what my clients want, without being overbearing. It’s a balancing act”, he says.

His career move to Northrop was driven by a need to challenge himself, and it’s this sentiment that makes him a wonderful part of the Northrop team, plus a newly appointed Associate – congratulations Peter!
