Beyond the Mainland: Northrop’s collaboration with CES in Tasmania

Did you know about our work in Tasmania?

“We were looking to partner with an organisation that offered  multi-disciplinary engineering capability, but just as important for the team was to work with an organisation that shared similar values. Partnering with Northrop was our number one choice, your open and honest values, which we also hold significant, resonated with us” said Sharon Bugg, Managing Director, Coordinated Engineering Services (CES).

Two years ago Northrop was approached by CES who were looking to partner up with a capable multi-disciplinary mainland engineering firm to increase their capacity. With offices in Hobart and Launceston CES are passionate about Tasmania and have a commitment to sustainable engineering development and environmental stewardship. The partnership has expanded the networks for both organisations and enabled bids to be put in with developers that individually may have been out of reach.

Sharon Bugg, CES Managing Director, underscores the importance of the collaboration: "Partnering with Northrop offers a unique opportunity to deepen our capabilities and share our extensive knowledge between the two companies. Together, we drive innovation and push the boundaries of engineering, supporting each other’s development and vision of sustainable engineering in the process.”

Joint project have included Launceston General Hospital car park which is pictured, Rose Lane Apartments, Kings Meadows Community Health Centre, Macquarie Place Apartments and Glenorchy indoor sports facility. We are eagerly anticipating the green light for work on a new high-performance facility for the popular championship-winning basketball team, the Jack Jumpers, which will be located in Hobart.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to have an impact in shaping the island state’s future together!
