Cas has been part of the Northrop team since May 2015 providing technical and design expertise for clients and projects externally, and undertaking key roles internally to support the business. After completing degrees in both Engineering and Architecture, Cas moved on to complete a Masters in Structural Engineering. Currently focused on residential and commercial sectors, Cas has worked on a wide range of projects and relishes opportunities to push boundaries and successfully bring bespoke architectural elements into structural design. Her work in the event engineering space has involved the design of temporary event structures across the country, and she has recently completed the structural design of a 5m tall Shark Structure in Taronga Zoo’s Vivid installation.
Cas excels at job management and believes effective communication and managing expectations are key factors for a successful project. Cas’ great strengths are organisation and attention to detail. She understands that things don’t always go to plan and recognises that the way these issues are handled and resolved has the greatest impact for client satisfaction. Her commitment to the industry is demonstrated in her roles as Northrop’s Mentoring Coordinator, as Chair of the Women in Northrop group, and as a key member of the People and Talent team aiding with the recruitment, development and retention of staff in the Sydney Region. Cas also sits on the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s Diversity Committee and embraces opportunities to give back throughout the industry, primarily focused on taking on roles within the areas of inclusion and mentoring.
