Young guns showing us how it's done

Northrop young engineers hosted their 2nd networking soiree in the Sydney offices on November 5th.

Rain didn’t deter the future stars that attended our young engineers networking event on November 5th. Hosted by a group of up and coming engineers at Northrop, 50 of our clients were entertained by the Rocks Brewing Co sampling their finest beer and sharpening their skills outside of the technical realm.

Graduating 3 years ago, Isabel Duffy is a structural engineer part of the group that organised the event. “We have identified a group of people in our office, aged between 25 and 35 who have a keen desire to develop their non-technical skills”. “This event gives us the forum to work on our business conversations and to develop our own relationships with our clients.  It’s also a great opportunity to thank our clients”.

This was the second young engineer’s event we have hosted and we plan on hosting them twice a year, the next in May. It was a great turnout, we had clients come along from companies such as Billbergia, Parkview, Urbanest, Hindmarsh Constructions and AJC – all of which we are currently working with.

“The event has always been about solidifying relationships with people who we enjoy working with. It’s been great to see the ease of conversations with clients following the event” says Isabel.

If you’re interested in coming along to our next event, we’d love to hear from you. You can contact Isabel Duffy on 9241 4188.
