Shining Bright - A look back at some of the recognition we’ve received this year

Throughout this year, our people have reached significant milestones, both personally and professionally. We are proud to reflect on a couple of our industry achievements.

Isabel Duffy - Principal | Business Development Manager, won the UDIA NSW & Opticomm Women in Leadership Award for Excellence celebrating her outstanding contributions to the construction industry.

An accomplished structural engineer, Isabel has left her mark on a diverse range of projects, from luxurious residences to towering commercial structures. Beyond her technical abilities, Isabel is a visionary leader who champions growth and continuous improvement.

Isabel's influence extends far beyond her projects as she passionately advocates for gender equality in the industry, actively working to attract and retain female talent. Her dedicated efforts are helping to reshape the construction and engineering landscape in Australia towards a more inclusive and diverse future.

Gavin Saldanha - Associate | Electrical Group Manager, received the Rising Star Award from the Property Council ACT.

Gavin’s notable achievements include advising the ACT Government on transitioning from fossil fuel gas to a net-zero city by 2045. Gavin also spoke at an industry conference about Canberra's transition away from gas infrastructure and encouraged women to join the property industry as a guest speaker in the Girls In Property program. Additionally, Gavin leads the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia's Canberra Chapter and actively contributes to the Property Council's Social Sustainability Committee.

Max Eppelstun - Undergraduate Electrical Engineer, clinched the prestigious Mark Griffin Student of the Year award at the recent CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Awards night.

Max's spotlight was well-deserved, acknowledging his visionary three-pronged approach - Expose, Involve and Empower - addressing the challenge of educating emerging graduates to incorporate embodied carbon into design choices. Max's proposal holds immense promise, paving the way for future engineers armed with the knowledge and motivation to tackle embodied carbon challenges head-on.

Congratulations to all!
