Alan’s journey from a construction background to engineering leader is testament to his pragmatic approach to finding innovative solutions to everyday challenges. He loves mentoring people with a goal to break the conventional nuances of design and to bring practical tailor-made solutions to his clients. Alan began his career as an electrician in 2005, working across the residential, commercial, industrial and education sectors. Developing into lead roles in estimating, design, project, and relationship management, Alan cemented himself as a driven and resourceful team player.

His Northrop journey began in 2015 and he has since built an extensive project portfolio leading a wide range of projects from small architectural projects to large-scale developments. 

Alan is passionate about sharing his knowledge to help our young engineers achieve early career success. He is also highly engaged in the industry and regularly presents to (and for) industry bodies and peers.
