Canterbury League Club
The most recent expansion at Canterbury League Club includes new car parking, gaming expansion, restaurant, cafĂ©, cocktail bar and improved back-of-house facilities to respond to the growing needs and diversity of the club patrons. The expansion also future proofs the Club to provide flexibility to the vision of the client. The design has been predicated on the need to minimise disruption to the current Club’s operations. For example, a four-storey concrete ‘bridging’ structure and steel gantry system were required to maintain constant access to the Club’s car park during construction. Northrop initiated early contractor input during the design phase to better understand how the site would be managed (access and deliveries) and how the staging of the works would impact on the Club’s operations and construction program.
