Melrose Park
Payce engaged Northrop to complete a civil and sustainability master plan for a new Melrose Park precinct incorporating 6,500 residential units. Alongside would be retail and commercial facilities.
We were asked to incorporate best practice sustainability and smart cities concepts to differentiate the project from other developments in Western Sydney.
Our client did not want to be constrained by specific rating tools or frameworks. Northrop investigated different sustainability initiatives that could be applied to the site – from simple improvements in design to integrated energy production facilities and community amenities.
Design iterations complicated coordination, but our civil and sustainability team worked with the client and architect to provide a flexible outcome with the ability to incorporate future market conditions.
