Khartoum Corporate Centre
Our project was a six-storey mixed-use office building with four storeys of basement car parking. It was part of the new Macquarie Corporate Park, with associated road works for Ryde City Council. We were engaged by Richard Crookes Constructions under a design and construct contract with the aim of minimising costs wherever possible.
Multiple floor levels of parking required deep rock excavation. We were able to considerably reduce the number of piles and ground anchors needed, and we accommodated for strict deflection tolerances due to site constraints.
Pre-cast materials were used to keep construction and materials costs down and we optimised on-site detention management to achieve further savings.
Northrop worked in close conjunction with Ryde City Council to deliver practical and maintainable roads and stormwater infrastructure. We worked collaboratively with pre-cast sub-contractors to produce consistent and cost efficient designs and achieved a 4 star Green Star for offices v3 Design Rating.
