Emma Jacobs
Emma has been working at Northrop since 2019. She has been in the Civil Section at Northrop for three years after transferring across from Building Services (Hydraulics).
Emma problem solves to find solutions that benefit people in real-time and most importantly, acts to foster her own understanding, development and growth. Her designs enhance urban spaces by integrating civil design with sustainable thinking through strategies such as Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD). Emma is continually taking on new projects in an effort to expand her expertise and learn from the colleagues around her.
As a female in STEM she endeavours to contribute to the enhancement of gender diversity whilst inspiring other young women to pursue their desire for a career in STEM despite certain barriers, stereotypes or gender imbalances.
