Neil McClelland
Neil McClelland has 33+ years of experience with the last 30 years as a Façade Engineer. Based in Sydney, Neil has also been based in New York (2003-2014) and London (1988-1990). He has worked on over 350 projects covering most building types, located in Australasia, North America, South America, Asia, India, Europe, the Middle East and Antarctica and covering most climate zones, from the extreme heat of the Middle East, to the severe cold of the US Midwest, Central Asia and Antarctica.
Clients include Owners, Architects, Project Managers, Main Contractors, Specialist Sub-contractors, Manufacturers and Lawyers and the types of work have ranged across concept design, detailed design, construction phase, problem investigation and remedial works, product support and development and expert witness. Neil has a broad experience in all aspects of building facade work in the fields of curtain walling, windows, precast concrete, rain screen, glass support structures and structural glass, balustrades, materials, weatherproofing and leak investigation, thermal performance, combustible cladding investigation and blast and security. Building types worked upon include airport terminals, balustrades and interior fit-out, civic, commercial convention centres, education, entertainment, government, hospitals, hotel, laboratories, libraries, museums and art galleries, natatorium, religious, retail, residential, sculptures, signage, stadia, stairs and transport interchanges.
