Eileen O'Connor Catholic College
Eileen O’Connor Catholic College is the first catholic secondary school for students with moderate intellectual disabilities. Northrop were engaged to work on the refurbishment of an existing general learning space building in a special purpose building.
The key challenges of the project was a highly restricted spaces in the existing building and the specific needs of the students using the new learning space.
Northrop developed an air-conditioning solution working closely with the architect that could be constructed in the existing space. The design incorporated solutions to address students with sensory processing disorders by ensuring mechanical noise levels were contained.
