Lendlease Solar Infrastructure Feasbility
Northrop was engaged to undertake a feasibility study for the installation of extensive solar infrastructure on the roofs of existing Lendlease shopping centre assets. We assessed 5 sites across Australia, including: Erina Fair Shopping Centre, Central Coast, NSW; Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre, Perth WA; Cairns Central Shopping Centre, Cairns QLD; Caneland Central, Mackay, QLD; Craigieburn Central, Craigieburn VIC.
Our scope included conducting detailed site investigations, reviewing existing documentation and reports and submitting a final report to the client. This project was a co-ordinated effort between the electrical and structural engineering teams who worked closely together to propose optimum installation solutions, whilst avoiding large-scale strengthening of existing structures. As a result of our findings, our remedial team was engaged to provide remedial advice for repair works to the Cairns Central Shopping Centre.
