PHIVE Parramatta Square
This was a challenging project on a highly constrained brownfield site with a significant 2 level basement, below the water table. The concrete framed structure supports a complex steel framed integrated facade and roof structure, providing a striking feature adjacent to the existing building.
Meticulous project planning and weekly client updates were key to successful completion, for a project such as this which had multiple design teams working at once to deliver under tight construction programs. To achieve these deadlines required by the client, Northrop had design teams working on 5 different packages concurrently with a job manager responsible for collaborating the packages together and communicating back to the client.
"Northrop loved the challenge of designing such a bespoke steel roof, which gives the building its abstract shape. We cannot wait to see the community of Western Sydney interact and experience the building we helped to deliver for them." - Lachlan Sykes - Associate, Structural Engineer | Northrop Consulting Engineers
