Scone Grammar School
The Scone Grammar School is a co-educational facility providing schooling for preschool to year 12 students.
The project included the construction of a new classroom and administration building together with the refurbishment of the existing library and classroom block, which included the construction of an additional storey.
The construction of the project was to be completed in three stages to minimise disruption to daily school activities.
Northrop was responsible for the delivery of Civil, Structure and building services for this project. During design development, coordination of all disciplines and acknowledging the staging of the development were critical design considerations to ensure the integration of future services with existing infrastructure.
The design and documentation for all disciplines resulted in a significant amount of existing structure and services being utilised in the new development which is due to start construction in early 2016.
