Northrop

Isabel is a Principal and Northrop’s Sydney region Business Development Manager, working with our client stakeholders to develop and implement new business strategy. Over her 10 years with Northrop, she has had a wide range of project experience as a structural engineer, moving through to managing technical teams within our business. Her passion for seeing the growth and success of Northrop has seen her develop her strategic and people management skills to lead our Business Development team alongside her project engineering role, which she is able to balance with support of her focused project delivery team.

Isabel enjoys working on projects with an architectural focus that contribute to our cities and spaces. She believes that good design outcomes are the result of a proactive and collaborative team dynamic and works to foster this on her projects. She has worked on a range of projects from high-end residential through to 30-storey commercial towers.

Contributing to the construction and property industries has always been important to Isabel, who sits on the PCA Future Directions and Inner West Property Group committees. Isabel is also a strong advocate for encouraging women into engineering and has worked with Engineers Australia and UNSW on several school and university initiatives in this area, including a term chairing the National Young Engineers Australia committee and regular presentations at high schools across Sydney.
