Northrop was engaged by Salta Properties to provide design, documentation and construction phase services for the development.
Project
Designed by Architectus, this development consists of two commercial office towers of 16 and 10 storeys and a 5-storey childcare building. It also incorporates 2 levels of basement carparking across the site. Extensive retail on ground floor interfaces with the Church Street shopping strip including a blend of classic and iconic Richmond materials in the street facades.
Delivery
Northrop collaborated closely with Salta Properties, Architectus, and the broader consultant team during the schematic design phase to help realise a built form that aligned with the project’s business case and the client’s aspirations for an integrated commercial precinct.
Following this phase, Hansen Yuncken was engaged under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process and subsequently appointed as the head contractor following a successful tender. Northrop continued to play a key role, delivering comprehensive structural and civil engineering services from detailed design and documentation through to construction phase support.
Throughout delivery, Northrop worked in close partnership with Hansen Yuncken to ensure the engineering solutions were both buildable and cost-effective, helping to achieve a high-quality outcome that met the client’s vision.

Industry Lanes exemplifies modern workplace design, combining premium finishes with a strong emphasis on flexibility, health, and wellbeing. This vertically integrated precinct fosters a dynamic workplace community while enhancing connections to the surrounding neighbourhood.
Spanning over 21,000m² of net lettable area, the development features a mix of commercial and retail spaces, open-air courtyards, high-end end-of-trip facilities, and an on-site childcare centre—promoting a seamless work-life balance.
At its heart, a striking multi-storey podium constructed from over 100,000 hand-laid bricks showcases exceptional craftsmanship and pays homage to the site’s industrial heritage, offering a refined blend of tradition and innovation.
