Northrop partnered with Waverley Council to give Bondi’s streets a much-needed makeover. Our shared goal was to make these busy streets safer, more attractive and easier to navigate,. By collaborating closely with the council, we ensured that the new infrastructure, including a cycleway along Curlewis Street, met the community’s needs and was within budget.
Northrop ensured the stree’s look and functionality were significantly improved through our top-notch ASP3, civil and electrical/lighting services for the Curlewis Street Cycleway and Streetscape project. Managing issues as they arose such as ground contamination and numerous underground services by staying in close contact with Waverley Council and the Traffic Committee, ensured everything met their standards.
The Curlewis Street Cycleway and Streetscape project aimed to create a direct bike path to Bondi Beach. With a mix of shops, homes and businesses lining the street, we needed to deliver a high-quality finish, complete with beautiful landscaping. We faced challenges like tricky ground conditions and lots of underground utilities, but we refined our design to get the necessary approvals and make it all work.
The Curlewis Street Cycleway and Streetscape project has made a big difference in Bondi. The new cycleway offers a safe, direct route to the beach, promoting eco-friendly travel. Northrop’s technical know-how and innovative approach helped us deliver a fantastic cycleway and streetscape that the community can enjoy.
