Northrop collaborated with FM Glenn Constructions and EJE to enhance the Park Beach Bowling Club. Our team provided structural, civil, hydraulic, and electrical engineering services, ensuring the seamless integration of modern amenities while preserving the club’s welcoming atmosphere. This partnership focused on delivering a versatile and functional space that meets both technical standards and the community’s evolving needs.
The Park Beach Bowling Club Terrace project involved the addition of a new terrace to the existing club, featuring a café, dining area, family area, and gaming/smoking area. The objective was to create a contemporary, multi-use space that enhances the club’s offerings and appeals to a diverse clientele. A key challenge was integrating these modern facilities into the existing structure without disrupting the club’s operations or compromising its established character.
Northrop provided structural, civil, hydraulic and electrical engineering services to support the delivery of the Park Beach Bowling Club Terrace. Our structural team played a key role in designing the terrace structure, which needed to integrate with the existing building while accommodating open, flexible spaces for dining and recreation. We worked through key challenges such as connection detailing, load transfer, and constructability on a live site. Civil, hydraulic and electrical inputs supported the coordination of services across the expanded footprint, ensuring compliance and functionality. Throughout the project, we worked closely with FM Glenn Constructions and the design team to ensure our solutions aligned with program and budget objectives. Northrop’s involvement helped ensure the delivery of a robust, code-compliant structure that supports the club’s long-term operational needs.
The new terrace at Park Beach Bowling Club has significantly enhanced the club’s amenities, offering members and guests a versatile space for dining, socializing, and entertainment. The addition of the café and family-friendly areas has broadened the club’s appeal, attracting a more diverse demographic. The integration of modern facilities, achieved through thoughtful engineering and design, has revitalized the club’s atmosphere while maintaining its traditional charm. This project exemplifies how strategic upgrades can strengthen community engagement and ensure the longevity of local institutions.
