Ryan Diercke
Ryan is a Chartered Senior Civil Engineer and an Associate of Northrop with over 10 years of experience in the industry. He graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) in 2012, earning first-class honours. Ryan has been with Northrop since October 2014. Prior to this, he worked as a civil engineer for a Civil Engineering & Surveying firm in East Maitland for 2 years.
A significant portion of Ryan's career with Northrop has been spent working remotely overseas, primarily in the UK and Canada since 2016. His primary focus during this period has been detailed design work, taking projects from the initial concept phase through to detailed design and construction. Upon his return to Australia in 2022, Ryan has undertaken more local projects in the Newcastle and New South Wales region.
Ryan has extensive experience in civil engineering design and construction, including stormwater management and water-sensitive urban design, earthworks, pavement, retaining walls, and geometric road design. He has worked on projects across a variety of industry sectors, most notably local government, residential, commercial, institutional, and aged care.
Ryan takes pleasure in building and maintaining relationships with clients and collaborating across project teams. He often works with others to deliver practical and efficient outcomes. Ryan believes in a creative and flexible approach to engineering that facilitates practical, holistic, and sustainable design solutions within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
