RSL Lifecare Kaleen ILU Stage 1
Northrop was engaged by RSL Lifecare Kaleen to provide structural and civil engineering. RSL Lifecare Kaleen is a split multi story facility that houses approximately 40 rooms. This multistorey construction included propitiatory concrete filled walls, suspended post tension slabs and timber framing and truss roof to the upper most level of the project. While undertaking this project the various and challenging geotechnical aspects of the existing building effected how the civil and structural teams would undertake work. Northrop managed this process by increasing the capacity of the design to manage risk. We worked closely with the project team to accommodate changes in the design as the project progressed during construction on site. |
Overall, this project provided Northrop with the chance to contribute their skills in order to make a facility that is of great value to the local community.
