Located as the focal point for the new urban release area of Huntlee, the town centre is the first new town to be built in the Hunter in the last 50 years.

Challenges for the Town Centre include grades to facilitate access and services, mine subsidence and integration of Urban Design and conventional engineering infrastructure. 

Delivery of the project required us to provide flexible and evolving designs to accommodate the changing nature and demand of a new commercial precinct.

Part of the success of the project has been the collaboration between the project team including integration of landscaping, urban design, infrastructure and civil design
