Moorebank Avenue Roadworks

Moorebank Logistics Park is a nationally significant infrastructure development that will transform the way containerised freight moves through Port Botany and deliver a faster, simpler and more cost-effective service for business and consumers. Moorebank Logistics Park is being developed on a precinct comprising of land owned by the Commonwealth of Australia and adjacent land owned by Qube Holdings.

Northrop’s engagement has included providing detailed design for the Moorebank Avenue Temporary Diversion Road to support the development of the future upgrade works (including 3D modelling / services clash detection with 12D / Navisworks); proofing development staging plans (using 3D modelling / Infraworks); and temporary works design and documentation.

After a comprehensive approvals process and meticulous coordination efforts from the project team, this complex infrastructure project has recently reached a significant milestone with the completion of a 1.5km, 4 lane temporary diversion road, which was built adjacent to the west of Moorebank Avenue. The diversion road will enable the next stage of the works to be carried out which will include widening and raising Moorebank Avenue.

Northrop are immensely proud to be part of such an important infrastructure project and are continuing to work closely with BMD, Qube, Tactical Group and Contractors on a number of different elements to expedite the development.
