PARTNERSHIP AND PROJECT

Northrop partnered with Frasers Property International to deliver the civil engineering design for Huhtamaki Packaging’s 12,000sqm industrial warehouse at Wayne Goss Drive, Berrinba. We worked through the site constraints early to develop a practical design that met the project’s requirements and kept the wider consultant team moving.

The warehouse was designed around Huhtamaki Packaging’s specific operational needs. A key challenge was integrating the site design with the existing site levels and fall, while meeting the requirements of the Q100 flood flow management strategy.

DELIVERY

Northrop identified and worked through these constraints during the development application phase. By resolving the key civil design challenges early, the detailed design could progress as a ‘plug and play’ process, with minimal changes required as the project moved forward.

This early coordination also gave the wider consultant team confidence to progress their designs without significant redesign, helping keep the project on program.
