Westpac engaged Lend Lease to completely upgrade the old St George bank HQ at Kogarah. Lend Lease came to Northrop to work within the design team to provide structural engineering advice and designs to enable the creation of a modern dynamic work place.
Our structural engineers quickly came to terms with the constraints and opportunities presented by the existing 1980s structure. The proposed modifications and insertions presented challenges both in terms of construction methodology, program and budget.
Northrop engineered bespoke solutions that enabled the Lend Lease to transform the building into a modern, attractive workplace that has proven to help dramatically with the retention and engagement of staff.
