56 Greenmeadows Crescent, Toongabbie

Mirvac and the Property Industry Foundation partnered to build a six-bedroom house in Toongabbie where five homeless youths will live and receive care, mentoring and support from Marist180. They’ll be encouraged to work or study and will do so with a roof over their heads and a safe, warm place to call home.

Northrop worked alongside Mirvac by providing civil and structural engineering services for this project on a pro-bono basis as part of our "Giving Back" project. We leveraged our experience with commercial mass-timber buildings to provide an economical structural design. The housing was specifically designed to be beautiful and welcoming with exposed CLT and high-grade finishes throughout.

The result was a design that met the Property Industry Foundation and project team's aspirations for economic, social and environmental sustainability, and Northrop are very proud to have contributed to this project.
