Wattle Street Student Accommodation
A bed student accommodation facility built in Ultimo to service the growing requirements of UTS and University of Sydney.
Located in the heart of the city, there were challenges with contaminated ground, adjacent heritage buildings and aging stormwater infrastructure.
Northrop worked closely with the builder to develop a construction strategy that enables mildly contaminated soil to remain on site and be safely capped below the floor slabs. This approach dramatically reduced the cost of site remediation.
Working with the builder we adapted the building design to facilitate the construction of boundary walls adjacent to the heritage buildings
