Griffiths Teas, Wentworth Avenue, Surry Hills
Northrop was engaged to refurbish a landmark heritage building within the Sydney CBD into 28 high-end residential units and ground floor commercial facilities.
Due to the heritage nature of the building, the refurbishment needed to meet stringent development application requirements. A standard building services design was insufficient.
Northrop liaised with the heritage consultant and our client (the builder), to produce a compliant and economical design. We were able to preserve the heritage aspect of the building while still providing for high-end development.
Construction of in-ground services was critical for our client’s program. Northrop’s proactive involvement allowed early pricing packages to be issued to subcontractors to progress the build and maintain the construction program.
